thank you!! oh man i’m always really pleased whenever people complement my nose-draws cos i totally used to do the anime thing where you just like vaguely indicate the nose with a line and orz. but i mean i dunno how to explain it. in high school i spent a good year and a half trying really hard to move away from my initially anime-esque style so i tried adopting a very realistic style; it was hella awkward but i took what i learned from the experience and applied it to my stylized stuff and yeah suddenly noses were super important to me. sometimes i feel like the way i draw noses is actually kinda weird?? bc i put a lot of emphasis on the tip of the nose, but that’s just what stands out to me i guess
so yeah i used to not draw the noses like ever then made myself draw the noses a lot and i found a certain construction that i liked from observing the noses and now i draw the noses a very certain way

well it’s hard for me to say bc i graduated from pva a couple years ago and frankly a lot has changed there since then (to me, anyway). my experience was that the academics….. varied? like, i had some really good teachers, some just-okay teachers, and some actually pretty shitty teachers. a lot of people have retired or left since i graduated so i can’t really say what the academic scene is like there anymore. so yeah imo hspva is the def the place to be if you love art, but the academic classes are probably gonna be hit and miss

so i’ve been crazy busy with school lately so that’s why i haven’t been uploading that much stuff or answering messages. i’m trying n dyin to finish my second year film (which i’ll post once done) on top of all the other work i have to do, so don’t expect much from me for the next three-ish weeks. once i’m done with school i’m going to start right away on stuff to sell at comicpalooza and over the summer, so that’ll be my focus in may. and then after that i’ll start taking commissions and ???? that’s the plan
so yeah. thanks to you folks who have stuck around during my inactivity, since usually i post and reply to stuff a lot more. i’m really… glad hahaha. good stuff to come soon, prrrrrromise but yeah, school is kicking my ass rn brb
